However, eating healthily will help you feel better, look better, and perform better in the classroom. We’ve put together some easy healthy eating tips for busy college students.
Eat Breakfast
Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day, so if you’re busy studying for your online masters in PR, you’ll need to make sure that your body and mind gets the right fuel for the day ahead each time you wake up. Studies show that skipping breakfast can detract from academic achievement, so even if you don’t have time to sit down and enjoy a big breakfast in the morning, have things such as fruit, cereal bars, smoothies, or even a bagel ready to grab and eat on your way out.
Drink Water
If you find yourself staying awake by drinking sugary drinks or coffee all day, it probably won’t be long before you begin to see all the disadvantages as well. Sugary drinks will cause you to gain weight and damage your teeth, whilst too much caffeine can give you the jitters, cause headaches, and lead to insomnia. So, swap your sodas and coffee for plain water, as your body needs around eight glasses a day. You will feel so much better for it!
Have Healthy Snacks at Hand

Instead of stocking up on microwave meals and unhealthy snacks, make sure that during long periods of study, you have healthy snacks at hand so that if you do need to eat on the go, your body is still getting the right nutrients. This will not only give you more energy when studying, it can also boost your performance!
Limit Your Alcohol Intake
Although going to college is often associated with drinking copious amounts of alcohol, drinking too much will have a hugely detrimental effect on your health and wellbeing. If you drink alcohol, bear in mind that although this beverage supplies calories, it has no nutritional value whatsoever. So, although there’s no need to say no to every party, be sure to drink in moderation and limit your alcohol intake wisely when you do go out. Your head will thank you in the morning!
