Whether a person has a good day or bad depends on their morning routine. When something disrupts this routine, it establishes a negative tone for the entire day. By waking up earlier, a person gives their body and mind the time needed to achieve their full potential. However, men and women need to know how best to make the most of this time. Take certain steps for this process to be successful.
Set Aside an Hour
The body and mind need a full hour to set the right tone for the day. Don't rush the process, as doing so defeats the purpose. Although it may be hard to get up an hour earlier, once you get into the routine of doing so, you'll see how your life improves in a variety of ways. It's tempting to hit the snooze button, but doing so turns out to be a mistake. The extra five minutes of sleep isn't worth it, and you'll see this as the day progresses. While you may think you are only in need of a cleanser for your face and a shower for your body, more is required. For this reason, never skip a step. You'll regret doing so.
Stretch
Immediately upon waking up, take the time to stretch. It only takes a minute or two to work the kinks out of your body and loosen up your limbs and joints. This helps you get ready for the other steps needing done and the entire day.
Drink Water
The body becomes dehydrated while you are sleeping, as it is hard at work rejuvenating you for another day. Drink water after stretching and don't count a cup of coffee as hydration. Coffee comes later. Water needs to come first to ensure the body has all that it needs.
Meditate
Meditation wakes the mind and prepares it for the day ahead. There is no need to spend more than five minutes carrying out this task, but don't skip it. Don't rush into the process. Close your eyes and allow your mind and body to relax. Feel the body waking up after a good night's rest and begin meditating. Many people don't understand the process, but this skill remains one every person should learn because it offers so many benefits.
Exercise
Set aside 15 to 20 minutes for exercise. This provides you with the energy needed to get through the day, and you'll feel better knowing this task is out of the way. Exercise all muscles groups, using a routine you have created, an exercise app you enjoy, or a video that walks you through what to do. Pick your preference and stick with it, but mix things up at times to prevent boredom.
Shower
Once your workout finishes, head to the shower. This removes any sweat and grime from the workout and any sleepiness that lingers. Showering in the morning gives you much-needed energy.
Breakfast
Now it's time to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee along with your breakfast. As the other tasks have been completed, relax and eat. There's no need to rush, so enjoy yourself.
Follow this routine every morning. When you see how it changes your life, you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner. Don't despair. Your life changed for the better, so sit back and revel in it.
